A confined space also has limited or restricted means for entry or exit and is not designed for continuous occupancy. Confined spaces include, but are not limited to, tanks, vessels, silos, storage bins, hoppers, vaults, pits, manholes, tunnels, equipment housings, ductwork, pipelines, etc.
OBJECTIVE
The delegate can have the knowledge and understanding of confined space entry:
- Identify the hazards of working in confined spaces.
- Identify appropriate protective clothing or equipment.
- Identify training requirements for unskilled workers working in confined spaces & train the workers.
- Plan and Implement emergency procedures.
ASSESSMENTS
Delegates will be assessed against the specified content section using an online questionnaire as appropriate. Delegates will be required to undertake the assessment. The pass mark for this course is 80%.
