Various industries rely on specialized safety officers, such as those in construction, manufacturing, and healthcare, each responsible for addressing industry-specific hazards and regulatory requirements.
Here is an example of specific requirements, roles, and responsibilities for each safety-related position, but not limited to:
- Safety Officer (SO)
Requirements:
• Qualification: National Diploma in Safety Management, Occupational Health & Safety, or equivalent.
• Certification: SAMTRAC, NEBOSH, or equivalent.
• Legal Registration: No formal registration is required, but some employers prefer SACPCMP registration.
• Experience: 2-5 years in safety-related roles.
Roles & Responsibilities:
